The Northwest Passage is blocked by very thick ice in the Beaufort Sea.
And cold temperatures are forecast there through the end of the month.
By the time this cold spell ends, the sun will be past its peak elevation in the Northern Hemisphere and will be sliding back towards the long Arctic winter.
The big lie doesn’t depend on facts however. All it requires is useful idiots in the press corps.
