June 18 temperatures have plummeted in the US over the past 80 years. Prior to 1960, June 18 was typically a very hot day in the US, with the five hottest years being 1933, 1910, 1936, 1952 and 1944.
On this date in 1933, 90 degree temperatures were widespread across the US, with much of the Dakotas and Minnesota over 100 degrees.
