“Do they pay their credit cards? Do they pay their utility bill? Do they buy food for the table?”

“South Australia power prices to rise to highest in the world.” reads the headline.
When the country’s major energy retailers jack up their prices on July 1, it will add hundreds of dollars to annual household bills.
Residential customers will see a rise of 16.1 to 19.9 per cent.
“The latest increases are remarkable — the household price going up by around a fifth on top of the existing prices is extraordinary,” said Bruce Mountain, head of a private energy consultancy firm. “It’s very rare to see such large increases in retail electricity from one year to the next.

Anglicare SA’s general manager of community services Nancy Penna said demand for the organisation’s financial services had increased by as much as 20 per cent this year.
“We’ve calculated that there are at least 500 additional, new people coming to our services seeking financial assistance and counselling related to their cost of living,” she said.
“People will actually state that they can’t pay their electricity bills and they’re having to make decisions about which bills to pay.

Ms Penna said she believed demand would increase further, when the new, higher power bills start to arrive.
All this because of the global warming hoax.
“What the story does not make plain is that South Australia has decided to go “all renewable” electrical power supply,” says reader Oz. “The Greenies got the State Government to shut down the only coal fired power station at Port Augusta, and go with Wind Turbines and (some) solar.
“The whole problem is that in very high winds, the wind turbines have to shut down (or they fall apart),” Oz continues. “And the other source of electrical power is the inter-state link, which had some of the power lines blown down by the wind. In the Old Days, this would not have mattered too much, because the coal-fired Port Augusta Power Station could take over. Now, they have gone and shut it down, to “reduce Global Warming.”.
“In the last few minutes, the Australian media have reported the entire South Australian mobile phone network is about to run out of emergency power supply and shut down.”
