According to the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, June became the second month in a row with a negative temperature anomaly.
In May and June, the average temperature in the European territory of Russia from the Barents Sea to the Lower Volga was marked by a negative temperature anomaly. The end of spring and early summer turned out to be the coldest since 1994.
June became the second coldest rating in the 21st century, the average air temperature is 2-3ºC below normal. The first leadership position was in June 2003.
At the same time in the east, the average monthly temperatures in parts of Ural, Siberia and the Far East exceeded the norms by 2-5°C.
