A second winter wave has hit Poland and the UK, with other parts of northern Europe to be affected this weekend.
Warsaw endured heavy snowfall on Friday, and as of Saturday, up to 25cm (10 inches) of snow had been forecast in the south of Poland.
In the UK, residents across swathes of eastern England and Scotland were braving subzero temperatures to take dramatic pictures of the snow.
Frank Saunders of the Met Officewarned that “the snow could be disruptive in places, perhaps most likely in the southwest of England and southeast Wales.”
