Record cold today across North Dakota

6 Apr 2018 – Bismarck set a new cold record of 2F (-16.7 C) today, breaking the previous record of 3F set in 1979.

Meanwhile, temps in Minot dropped to -1F, beating the previous record of +1F, also set in 1979.

Williston dropped to -3F, besting the +1F set in 1936, and Dickinson fell to 0F, as opposed to +4F in 1997.

To add to North Dakota’s woes, these areas are looking to set records for the lowest daytime highs today.

And more snow is forecast for Sunday.
