8 to 12 inches of snow could hit Sioux Falls.
Almost all of South Dakota, including the central and eastern part of the state, is under a blizzard warning. Winds up to 50 mph could cause whiteout conditions.
The National Weather Service is currently predicting that 8-12 inches of snow will hit Sioux Falls during a storm entering the region late Thursday night — potentially breaking the single-day snow record for April (10.5 inches) in Sioux Falls.
