Colder temperatures will occur this weekend and accumulating snow totals over 6 inches will be likely for high elevations of the Snowy Range. Outdoor enthusiasts and anyone traveling in or to this area over the weekend should be mindful of the changing conditions and accumulating winter precipitation. Please prepare accordingly.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT TO MIDNIGHT SATURDAY NIGHT…
* Mixed precipitation expected. Total wet snow accumulations of up to one inch lower elevations, with 6 to 12 inches expected above 9000 feet.
* Plan on slippery road conditions. Expect reduced visibilities at times. Mountain trails and older snow tracks will become snow covered and hard to find in the back-country.
