The temperature dipped to 6.7°C (44.04°F) at 6 a.m. this morning. That set a record for coldest June 26 in Ottawa history.
The previous record for lowest temperature on this date was 7.2°C (44.96°F) set in 1970.
This is as cold as it is today in the southern hemisphere: 6°C. in Santiago, Chile, 7°C in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and 5°C in Canberra, Australia.
