Winter storm warning for the Northern Plains

6 to 8 inches of snow expected.

A series of cold fronts dropping southward from Canada will lead to snow across the Northern/Central Rockies into the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest.

Including the cities of Killdeer, Halliday, Beulah, Hazen, Center, Garrison, Washburn, Underwood, Wilton, Turtle Lake, Mandan, Bismarck, Steele, Tappen, Napoleon, and Gackle

…WINTER STORM WARNING FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM THIS EVENING…

Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will create widespread blowing snow.

* WHERE…Portions of west central, south central and southeast
North Dakota.
