New York City has celebrated(?) only three Thanksgivings since 1870 when temperatures failed to rise out of the 20s. Will this be the fourth such occasion? The city’s record cold high for the date was set 117 years ago, on 28 Nov 1901, when the mercury topped out at 26F.

Boston’s high of 24F on that same date also set a new cold record.
