The snow, up to a foot in some areas, could then spread northeastward across the nation’s midsection.
One to 2 feet of snow can pile up in the span of 12 hours leading to rapidly deteriorating road conditions, even road closures, over I-80’s Donner Pass, according to AccuWeather.com.
The same storm could then unleash heavy snow, several inches at least, across parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, South and North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
Some locations may see as much as a foot snow.
