The temperature in Minneapolis-St. Paul dropped below zero (below -17.8C) just after midnight this morning, and is likely to remain there (below zero) until Thursday, maybe Friday morning.
By Wednesday and Thursday, morning lows may reach the minus 20s (-29C and below) to perhaps minus 30 (-34.4C) in the Twin Cities, with minus teens and minus 20s in Des Moines, Iowa, Chicago and Milwaukee.
