Some parts of Minnesota and the Dakotas are facing temperatures 50 degrees below average for this time of year. We’re talking about life-threatening cold – in a supposedly warming world.
The National Weather Service’s Chicago office reported windchill temperatures in the range of minus 45F to minus 55F on Wednesday morning.
Even worse, windchill temperatures dropped to minus 66F (-54.4C) in Minnesota last night.
