All-Time Record Lows for Illinois

Thursday will likely start with some all-time record cold temperatures, warns the National Weather Service.

Lows early Thursday morning will be in the -20s to -30sF across the area. Some isolated readings of around -40°F (-40C) are possible west of the Fox Valley in Illinois.

Wind chills will not be as low as this morning, however still to dangerous levels. The air temperatures themselves will be dangerous to spend time in if not dressed properly.
