The previous February snowfall record in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro of 26.5 inches was set in 1962, said KSTP Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow.
As of noon today (Wednesday), 30.4 inches (77 cm) had already fallen this month, with another 2-to-3 inches expected by late afternoon.
