Blizzard warning for Montana

Whiteout conditions expected on Sunday for several hours. Strong winds could cause tree damage or power outages. Up to a foot of snow.

The National Weather Service in Great Falls, Montana has issued a BLIZZARD WARNING FROM 2 AM TO NOON SUNDAY

Periods of light snow today, then blizzard conditions and snow expected late tonight and Sunday morning.

Snow accumulations today of 2 to 4 inches. An additional 4 to 8 inches tonight thru Sunday morning.

* WHERE…Northern Rocky Mountain Front-Including Logan Pass, Marias Pass, Browning, and Heart Butte

Slippery travel is expected today and this evening. Travel could be very difficult tonight and on Sunday morning. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
