“Here we go again, in less than a week,” says Italian geologist Dr Mirco Poletto.
7 May 2019 – “Heavy snow hit the northeastern part of Italy, and between Veneto and Friuli we have fallen trees, blocked roads and people without power. It seems also landslides not moving for 15 years resumed their movement.”
According to the link below, “It snows abundantly in Cansiglio even at low altitude: more than half a meter of snow on the plain and connecting roads.
“Workers labored for hours to clear the roads of snow and trees and large branches fallen under the weight of the same snow and to help several motorists. The sudden worsening of the weather, expected, but not in these proportions, has once again caused the blackout of electric and telephone lines.”
