Unusual cold in Italy – Even snowfall in the deep south

Heavy snowfall in , south Italy Monday morning, May 6th. The cold airmass has reached south Italy.

Calabria, located in southwest Italy, occupies the “toe” of the country’s boot-shaped peninsula. It’s normally considered a sun-baked region.
