The Climate Gang Who Couldn’t Shoot Straight

A few months ago, Mosher made a tweet saying they were planning on tampering with daily temperature data.  Previously their tampering was limited to monthly temperature data. And the moment has arrived.  They have started adding TOBS (Time of Observation Bias) lines to the HCN daily temperature files.

My new software processes TOBS lines, and I was astonished what I saw.  Their TOBS adjustment is inverted, and it is ten times too large.

This is what it is supposed to look like.

My guess is that they hired a summer intern, who got the polarity of the adjustment wrong, and missed a decimal place. They have no clue what they are doing, but they are going to save the planet from a 0.0001 increase in atmospheric CO2.
