Denver – Cold records shattered three days in a row

Yet another cold record could fall on Thursday morning, making it four days in a row.
__________

The temperature in Denver dropped to 3F (-16C) this morning, shattering the previous record low for October 30 by 4 degrees.

It was Denver’s third record cold temperature in 3 days.

The records on Monday and Tuesday were for daily high. Denver managed to reached only 21F on Monday and 18F on Tuesday, setting new record coldest maximums for October 28 and October 29.

Temperatures are forecast to plunge below zero F (below -17.8C) along the Front Range tomorrow morning. If Denver’s temperature manages to drop below -2°, it will break the all-time record low for October in Denver, not just for the day, but for the entire month. That record was set 102 years ago, on October 29, 1917.
