San Luis Obispo County Interior Valleys-Cuyama Valley- Including the cities of Paso Robles, Atascadero, and Cuyama

FREEZE WARNING  FROM 2 AM TO 10 AM SATURDAY…

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 expected.

* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

Also Ventura County Interior Valleys-Including the cities of Santa Paula, Fillmore, Ojai, and Piru

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 expected.

* WHERE…Mainly Ojai Valley.

Also Antelope Valley-Including the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 24 expected.

* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

…Several hours of below freezing temperatures are expected. Vulnerable populations without access to heat or proper shelter are at the highest risk of these cold temperatures..
