Earlier this week I posted and article saying that Antarctic sea ice had reached a new record maximum.
Turns out that I was mistaken. I based that assertion of a press release from NASA. However, several alert readers pointed out that the press release was issued in 2014.
One reader, Gary H., took the time to send the above graph to me. The purple line shows Antarctic ice extent in 2014, whereas the red line shows ice extent in 2019.
Mea culpa. Thanks to all of the readers who caught this.
