In the northern and central regions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the height of snowdrifts in places exceeds 100 cm, and the actual amount of precipitation is 180-230 percent of the norm. At the same time, the deviation of the average monthly temperature in January for these places has a positive anomaly of 7–9 degrees. In Turukhansk, the daily maximum record was even updated twice in January 2020: on January 6 and 7, the temperature rose to -2, and -3.8 degrees, respectively.
But the winter cold returns to Siberian open spaces. Low temperatures in the border layer of Russia are now located above the Turukhansky region, where real 40-degree frosts have come, which is quite expected for the winter months of these regions.
