Bitter cold shatters Denver record for April 14

Icy cold. Worse than in 1933 for the second day in a row.
Icy cold temperatures shattered 87-year old lows for the second day in a row with a reading of 11F (-11.7C) this morning.

The previous record for April 14 was 15F set way back in 1933.

On Monday, April 13, the temperature plummeted to 16 F, eclipsing the previous low of 17F set in 1933, said the National Weather Service in Boulder.
