According to Statista, half a billion people could be plunged into poverty as a result of the Coronavirus crisis.
But how much greater would be the impact if eco-loons had their way and destroyed the world’s economy in their attempt to abolish fossil fuels?
It is not the virus itself which is doing the economic damage, but the various lockdowns put in place. These may only last a month or two, but the economic dislocation is already massive.
Yet the rapid phasing out of fossil fuels demanded not only by XR rabble but by serious politicians as well would have a far greater and longer lasting impact.
