“We may not have a choice unless we’re willing to stand up and do something. The pabulum-fed hoi polloi seem intent on destroying their own lives and dragging everyone else down with them by any means available.”

Ever hear the story of The Grasshopper and The Ant?
Klimate Katastrophe Kooks
All through the wet spring, the ant worked. No matter if it was cold and snowy, wet and muddy or a pleasant day, he worked.
The grasshopper slept the whole time, awakening in late spring, only to lay about and do nothing.
When summer came, the ant worked even harder. No matter if the sun burnt his back, no matter if the hot weather made him want to take a break, he worked.
The grasshopper lazed about.
When autumn came, the ant worked. As the leaves fell, the grasshopper called out to the ant.
“Hey, Ant! I’m smarter than you! I’ve been sleeping and laying around all through the spring and summer, while you’ve been breaking your back.”
The ant smiled wryly and continued working.
When winter came, the ant heard a knock on the door of his cozy home. When he opened the door, before him stood a shivering ant, looking miserable. And a dozen politicians.
The politicians said, “You have more than you deserve, Ant! We’re taking half and giving it to Grasshopper!”
The grasshopper spoke up, “Don’t forget that I’ve got millions of relatives who are suffering, too! You’ll have to take much more than half!”
The politicians considered for a moment, then amended what they’d said, “Ant, we’re taking everything but the bare minimum you need to make it through the winter. After all, we have all these millions of voter… erm, suffering grasshoppers to feed.”
The ant grabbed his shotgun from behind the door and that was the end of the grasshopper and his political cronies.

Get ready, folks. That day is coming.

This: “When winter came, the ant heard a knock on the door of his cozy home. When he opened the door, before him stood a shivering ant, looking miserable. And a dozen politicians.”
Should be: “When winter came, the ant heard a knock on the door of his cozy home. When he opened the door, before him stood a shivering grasshopper, looking miserable. And a dozen politicians.”
