Frosts in late May threaten crops and flowering trees

Weather conditions in the south of Western Siberia are changing rapidly.

First came the heat.  The air temperature in Novosibirsk on May 26 was 33.5°C, beating the earlier record set in 1980 of 32.9°C.

But on May 27 air temperature will drop, the heat will be gone. And on May 28 and 29 in the Novosibirsk region, frosts are expected to reach -3°C. Frosts in late May threaten crops and flowering trees.
