Okay, it is very unfortunate for those who died, and their families and loved ones, that Sweden failed to protect its elderly.
But I think this news should be welcomed, not excoriated. To me, this is an indication that Sweden’s refusal to go into full lock down has been a resounding success. The people in care homes or receiving at-home care were already highly compromised. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been there in the first place. But it looks as if, for the most part, the rest of the population is doing quite well.
As of today, June 4, worldometers shows 330 deaths per million of population in the United States and 450 per million in Sweden. I’m guessing that the U.S. rate per million will continue to climb. After all, we were originally told that the lock down would merely ‘flatten the curve.’ We were NOT told that it would reduce the number of deaths.
As near as I can tell, the media hates Sweden because its refusal to go into panic mode just simply doesn’t comply with the lock-down narrative.
