It’s 6 pm, Sunday, 6/7/2020, and it’s snowing here in Evanston, WY, with a temp of 34°F,” says reader Don Bennett. “Again. It snowed early in the afternoon also. Snow expected overnight which will probably stick with a predicted low of 28°F.”

I (Robert) decided to check this out. Evanston is in far-western Wyoming on I-80. It stands at an elevation of 6,749 ft (2,057 m).

And when I checked on weather.gov, I found several urgent weather messages for western Wyoming, and als0 Montana, such as the following (there are many more):
