The lock down has changed the world for many

And what will we see here, in the US, after the lockdown finally goes away? Will we see people going to restaurants and dining again? A very good question. I talk to people, as does everyone else, and I find a surprising number of people that used to be “social” and outgoing are now shunning the idea of “dining in.” People that used to enjoy going to a buffet, as an example, deciding to stay away because “people handle the same serving utensils.” They think buffets should be turned into cafeterias where people behind plexiglass screens can put the food they want on their plates and then hand the plate to them.
I have talked with people that had dental appointments, doctors appointments, people who need to have their eyes tested, and all are saying “maybe I’ll wait a couple more months.”
I watched the hysteria mount with the bull-horning of the “Main Scream Media” as they tried to put the fear of virus in us, and succeeded with many. The fear of virus even overpowered the “fear of God,” as so many people chose to meekly accept religious prohibition.
I know people that are reluctant to go shopping in wide open stores because “too many people are there.” These are the same people that would stand in line to see a concert of their favorite band and never give it a second thought. Who would flock down to the floor of the auditorium in order to get as close as possible to the band, regardless of whether or not there was more than just barely space to breathe in. Will bands ever again perform to “packed houses?” good question.
The lockdown has changed the world for many – including making them more susceptible to rioting. It has probably changed our world completely, and not in a hopeful way. It has created darkness where once was light. It has replaced love and compassion with fear. And it probably will rob us of our ability to seek anonymity and solitude as we end up being chipped to prove we have been vaccinated against a virus that has killed people by gunshot, car accident, knife wounds, and any other manner in which a person can die, as well as being sick.
And all of this for what?
