We have done everything wrong !
Our politicians and their experts failed to protect the elderly – in the case of New York deliberately sending infected people to aged care facilities to ensure hospital beds were available for the tsunami of deadly cases predicted by the models that never eventuated. (They may have just as well as taken the elderly out the back and shot them.)
This elderly abuse happened worldwide and despite all the warnings is now happening in Australia.
Lock down did not work anywhere !!!
In Australia there have been 232 deaths in 5 months from COVID 19.
BUT in February 2017 more than 400 Australians aged over 90 died from influenza alone – a rate ~10 times that of COVID 19.
To further elaborate this comparison one presumes there was a vaccine available for the most likely influenza types in February 2017. Australia always lags behind the rest of the world in the annual influenza outbreaks and we have the most recent vaccines from the northern hemisphere available before our winter.
There has been so much misinformation about this virus it is difficult not to conclude the media scare has another reason behind it other than promoting public health.
An Australian Professor of Law recently said about lock downs and the whole COVID 19 media scare:-
“In a decade this will be looked back on as one of the most colossal public policy fiascos of the century.”
Couldn’t agree more – except I’d add the other colossal public policy fiasco awaiting us – net zero emissions by 2050.
I’m almost certain both are linked and we’d all be completely stupid beyond belief to buy into either.
Sure, be careful to reduce your exposure but more and more experts are saying the only way COVID 19 ends is when most people have an immunity (herd immunity) from contracting it and surviving – lock downs will never achieve this end as must be plain to all observing Victoria in Australia where after months of strict lock down there are far more cases now than months ago.
What a fiasco and the so called investigative journalist is obviously an extinct species !
