Continuing our look back at the archives of June weather, both June 1951 and 1961 were similar to last month, sunny, dry with just above average temperatures:
June 1961 saw a particularly warm end to the month, with temperatures peaking at 31.1C in Gillingham:
That was much higher than last month’s provisional top temperature of 29.7C:
