A new Alt Web Search is available. It attempts to surface information that Google and Bing hide.
In addition to the dedicated search page, it is accessible from a widget in the right column.
The Alt Web Search covers only a small number of sites, far from being complete. Still, it is a useful complement to Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo.

The Alt Web Search is based on Microsoft Bing, and Microsoft receives the information, probably in at least the same amounts as if the user were searching in Bing.
