Perhaps he should check what his former green chums are saying at the BEIS, before he makes a fool of himself next time:

According to their Net Zero Pathway, which is consistent with Carbon Budgets, we will still be consuming almost as much natural gas in 2035 as we do now.

How this idiot ever found his way into position of power, whereby he could influence future energy policy, is a mystery which will puzzle future generations.
