If you haven’t figured it out by now, then there really is no hope you ever will: most Europe’s green leaders are liars, hypocrites and deceivers.
Green phony-of-the-month award
The green phony and climate hypocrite of the month award goes hands-down to Teresa Ribera Rodríguez, Minister for the Ecological Transition of Spain since 2018.
As reported by El Espanol here, the Spanish Minister was recorded arriving at a climate crisis conference in Spain on an e-bike – without having worked up a sweat and her hair completely intact:

Now that’s the way to save our climate, she was surely trying to convey to the rest of us through all the cameras. Behold how our ministers are acting responsibly and practicing precisely what they preach to us.
The only problem: it was all staged!
Limousines, private jet
Teresa Ribera Rodríguez (54) wasn’t credible “for several reasons” reports Austria’s Express here. Firstly, she flew in to the European climate conference by private jet. Next, just 100 meters before reaching the venue, she got out of her air conditioned limousine and changed to an-e-bike that was waiting for her. As she effortlessly pedaled the final 100-meter stretch, her security detail continued behind in their security cars.
Starting last Tuesday, Teresa Ribera Rodríguez, a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party. chaired the meeting of the European Union’s energy and environment ministers in Valladolid to address the challenges relating to energy and compliance with the climate objectives of the Paris Agreement.
“Expectations are very high for many people who are already experiencing the consequences of climate change on a daily basis;” Ribera said.
