The Weather Channel’s Absurd ‘Hot’ Propaganda

By Jim Lakely

From ClimateREALISM

The Weather Channel is absolutely ridiculous. The channel’s “Weather Across the Country” map on their homepage for September 19 had red colors EVERYWHERE! Because it’s HOT HOT HOT! No area of the country is experiencing normal weather for mid September, apparently. Chicago, for instance, was displayed as red to deep orange. Warm, right?

I can tell you from personal experience: It was “freezing” on Tuesday, September 19 in Northern Illinois for a day that is still technically summer. It rained all day and barely got over 60 all afternoon. I regretted not wearing a jacket to the office.

On this map, Seattle is in “yellow/green” denoting cooler weather, but I can assure you that today in Chicago felt like Seattle … and it probably felt a lot warmer in Seattle where The Weather Channel said, and showed with color, that it was significantly “cooler.”

Kansas City is 82 degrees and is in orange, approaching light orange to “cooler” yellow. Oklahoma City is also 82 degrees, but is DEEP RED HOT and close to the now new “hot” color of whitish pink. (When I was a kid, they saved the “white” color for cold. Now it’s “white hot”!)

Minot, North Dakota was allegedly 86 degrees today and is in “cool” yellow. Jacksonville, Florida is one degree higher at 87 and is in “deep red hot.” Missed opportunity there for The Weather Channel to move even more reds deeper into North Dakota, since it’s their goal to make it seem like going to towards the Canadian border is like visiting Florida. It’s like Florida everywhere!

More BS: International Falls, Minnesota is 70 degrees and portrayed as “red hot.” St. Louis, Missouri is 86 degrees and has the same color scheme, but even closer to a cooler orange and yellow. How can that be for a forecast of the high temperatures for the day?

HOT DAMN! I just noticed that Oklahoma City is 82 degrees and in deep red color and close to “hot pink” while St. Louis — 4 degrees hotter — is in orange to yellow.

The Weather Channel is propagandizing America. It is part of the “climate change causes everything, all the time, everywhere” effort to brainwash people to believe the myth that the summer of 2023 was the hottest year ever on record. EVER!!!!! They do that with visual propaganda, displayed above. But the facts and data show, that is just not true.

The Weather Channel has a mandate to continually reinforce climate alarmist propaganda by making you think, at a glance, that most of the middle of this country in September is just as warm as Florida. The historic heat wave we talked about all summer (but wasn’t actually historic) continues!

THIS IS THE TRUTH: Tuesday, September 19, 2023 was a cool, rainy, and dreary day in Chicagoland — yet the map by The Weather Channel would make you think otherwise. And, by the way, the weathermen on TV said it would rain a bit in the late morning, but clear up and warm up later in the afternoon. WRONG, AGAIN. These are the same people who assure us that most of Florida will be underwater by the time children now in Kindergarten are in their mid-50s, like me.

It’s all BS all the way down, and they know it. But they just need to keep enough people believing it long enough so the people will stop thinking for themselves and remember how the weather used to be delivered to us compared to now.

It’s all about advancing a larger agenda of panic about the climate and government “solutions” that take away your liberty. Green on the outside, deep red on the inside.

Weather forecasting is an inexact science. We all know that. But these same people assure us that unless we give up our way of life — a life of going where we want, growing enough food for everyone, driving for family vacations — these maps will get even more red! It’s a lie, but it’s insidious and unceasing.

Heartland friend John Coleman, who passed away a few years ago, founded The Weather Channel. He was aghast at what had become of his dream: a channel dedicated 24/7 to telling all of America what was happening with the weather across the country and in their backyard. It was a revolutionary idea, and The Weather Channel he founded became the go-to and trusted source for truthful weather information.

John was horrified that his idea had been infiltrated by climate alarmists and turned into a propaganda outfit.

Below is one of the best presentations John ever gave at one of Heartland’s climate conferences.

Here is John Coleman embarrassing CNN’s Brian Stelter when he made the mistake of booking him on his show — a media appearance I was honored to arrange for him.

I miss you, John Coleman.

Our moral guardians: Climate activists teach children to send cookie malware to skeptical grandparents

AYCC, Australian Youth Climate Coalition.

Climate Justice looks a bit like a criminal phishing campaign.

By Jo Nova

Malware to save the planet eh?

The Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) is asking supporters to send deceptive links out to friends and family that look like a cookie recipe but embed software cookies instead on the victim’s computer. The digital cookies then pushes green climate videos into their feeds, (as if the ABC news wasn’t loaded enough).

Look out for any links to oneminutecookie.com.

The AYCC gets about $3m in donations, and even visits schools, teaching children how to cheat and lie to save the planet, or something like that. What are good family relationships built on after all, if not deception? What is science if it is not propaganda?

These are all good questions to raise with the children in your life and the schools in your area.  Don’t wait for an email to arrive, thank the AYCC for providing the opportunity to start the conversation now.

If the believers are so caring, ethical and moral why are they teaching children it’s OK to deceive family members? Is this the kind of “fair and just” world we want to live in?

Call up schools and the local P&C and ask if they are aware the AYCC — which runs programs in schools  — teaches children to fool  parents and grandparents and use malware. Are these the kind of family values that belong in our schools? Will the local school guarantee that they will not allow this group to manipulate children?

The Australian exposed their crooked game this week, and traffic to oneminutecookies.com has fallen to zero. So presumably the link trap will change. (The campaign has been put on hold).

Reporter Joseph Lam spoke to cyber security experts at Check Point Research:

The company’s tech evangelist Ashwin Ram, one of Australia’s top 100 Innovators, said the technique was not common but was something he imagined cyber criminals would use as part of phishing campaigns.

Mr Ram said cookies were used to “enhance the user experience”, but in the case of AYCC campaign, “it looks like the goal here was to lure sceptics of climate change to oneminutecookie.com”. He adds: “While the site looks innocent, a victim’s browser will store cookies that will affect their browsing experience by displaying content to support a particular narrative.”

If the evidence for climate change is so overwhelming, why don’t they use that to win friends and influence people instead of phishing tricks that criminals might use?

AYCC, Australian Youth Climate Coalition.

Red fist of comrades, communist.

The best lesson children can learn today is that fascists and communists have always taught children to lie. It’s a means to an ends.  Read the confessions of a Red Guard — “I have led a life haunted by guilt”.  Raised fists might not be the symbol that lifts you.

China Coal: Reuters’ “weird climate logic”

From MasterResource

By Ed Ireland — September 21, 2023

“According to Reuters, China is justified in burning massive amounts of coal because it uses some of that electricity to charge EVs, enabling it to reduce its crude oil imports, which is even more evil than coal. The world, in other words, can continue to ignore the fact that China and the other countries in Asia emit more CO2 than the rest of the world combined.”

We are constantly told that burning coal must be eliminated because it contributes to climate change. Coal is so bad that the EPA has proposed rules that will force the closure of all U.S. coal-burning power plants, as well as natural gas generators by 2040, if not sooner. U.S. power grids are showing the effects of the early retirement of coal power generation plants, meanwhile, and grid operators are demanding that the EPA stop their proposed regulations. But the war on coal is unabated.

Apparently, the war on coal plants does not apply to China. According to an article this week in Reuters by Clyde Russell, “China’s Huge Coal Plant Building Has Weird Climate Logic,” China’s CO2 emissions from its massive coal-burning power plant program pose little problem on the road to solving “climate change.”

His article begins by explaining that China is indeed the world’s largest coal-burning country in the world and is building more plants quickly:

China is building two-thirds of the coal-fired electricity generation capacity currently under construction globally, and this may not be as disastrous for the climate as it sounds (emphasis added).

The world’s largest producer and importer of coal has 136.24 gigawatts (GW) of coal-fired generation under construction, according to data released in July by the Global Energy Monitor.

This represents 66.7% of the global total of 204.15 GW, and China is streets ahead of second-placed India, with 31.6 GW being built and third-placed Indonesia with 14.5 GW.

These three countries represent 89% of the coal-fired plants currently under construction, and it’s not a coincidence that all of them have large populations, growing energy demand and vast domestic coal reserves.

China’s under-construction coal generation is about 12% of its existing capacity, and adding more coal-fired power would seem incompatible with the stated goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2060.

So the energy elephant in the CO2 mitigation room is to be papered over? Given a pass with COP28 coming up? We can ignore everything we’ve ever heard or read about “planet-destroying CO2 emissions from coal plants” because:

The large coal-fired construction programme can be seen in the wider context of China’s rapid shift to electric vehicles (EVs) and away from internal combustion engine (ICE) cars and trucks.

This is a strange detour. China’s massive fleet of coal-burning power plants are saved by coal-based EVs, what Amory Lovins called emission elsewhere vehicles (EEVs)? The article doesn’t mention that China has been unsuccessful in forcing its population to purchase EVs, so massive numbers have been left to rot in fields.

Never mind this detail because this all leads to the not-so-obvious conclusion that China’s use of coal-fired electricity to charge their EVs will enable them to reduce their imports of crude oil, which is much worse for the environment than coal. Continuing the article’s “weird logic”:

While it would obviously be better for the environment for China to stop building coal-fired power plants and instead accelerate the deployment of renewables, there is some logic to the current policy.

Using mainly domestic coal and some relatively low-cost imports will allow China to lower crude oil imports over time, increase the penetration of EVs and have a lower emissions profile than if it carried on with a predominantly ICE vehicle fleet.

There you have it. According to Reuters, China is justified in burning massive amounts of coal because it uses some of that electricity to charge EVs, enabling it to reduce its crude oil imports, which is even more evil than coal. The world, in other words, can continue to ignore the fact that China and the other countries in Asia emit more CO2 than the rest of the world combined:

The fact that China’s carbon dioxide emissions are being ignored while U.S. energy policies are destroying the reliability of its power grids and undermining its energy independence is telling. This suggests that the war on fossil fuels is a dangerous diversion from the actual agendas, which could include eliminating the dominance of the United States, establishing global governance, population control, and more.

Little Tin Gods

The audio track is a song for our times: Little Tin Gods by Don Henley from his album End of the Innocence.

“A new age is dawning
On fewer than expected
Business is usual”
That’s how the headline read
Some shaky modern saviors
Have now been resurrected
In all this excitement
You may have been misled

People want a miracle
They say “Oh Lord, can’t you see us?
We’re tryin’ to make a livin’ down here
And keep the children fed”
But, from little dark motel rooms
to “Six Flags Over Jesus”
“How are the mighty fallen”
So the Bible said

You don’t have to pray to a little tin god
Step out of the way for a little tin god
You might fear the reaper, you might fear the rod
But you never have to get down on your knees
You don’t have to holler, “please, please”
No, you never have to get down on your knees
For a little tin god

The cowboy’s name was “Jingo”
And he knew that there was trouble
So in a blaze of glory
He rode out of the west
No one was ever certain
What it was that he was sayin’
But they loved it when he told them
They were better than the rest

But you don’t have to pray for a little tin god
Step out of the way for a little tin god
You might hate the system, hate the job
But you never have to get down on your knees
You don’t have to holler, “please, please”
No, you never have to get down on your knees
For a little tin god

Throw down a rope from heaven
And lead the flock to water
The man in the middle would have you think
That you have no other choice
But to wander in the wilderness
Of all the upturned faces
If you stop and listen long enough
You will hear your own small voice

But you don’t have to pray to a little tin god
Step out of the way for a little tin god
You might fear the reaper, fear the rod
But you never have to get down on your knees
You don’t have to holler, “please, please”
No, you never have to get down on your knees
You don’t have to holler, “please, please”
You never have to get down on your knees
For a little tin god
