A judge has refused to delay the trial of Just Stop Oil protestors charged with storming a performance of West End musical, Les Miserables, at the request of one of the defendant who said they were flying to India.

But Gibbin asked the judge if the hearing could be delayed until the end of February, as she will be away.
The judge appeared less than impressed, responding “I am afraid I am not going to wait for you to get back from India”.

Is there a word in the English language to describe this level of absurdity and hypocrisy? If there is, I can’t think of it.
