Where on earth do they get these dopey environmental reporters from? Nursery School?

This is the Express’ version of Emma Gatten:

The real question, dopey Steph, is why are “unfair fuel duties”, paid for by petrol/diesel car drivers costing £1000 a year, when EV drivers don’t pay a penny?

An average diesel probably costs between £1500 and £1700 pa in fuel, which includes both VAT and fuel duty.

Dopey Steph’s calculation suggests that EV drivers, with no off street parking, are already paying more, even without paying about £700 a year in the equivalent of fuel duties, a tax that will inevitable come their way  eventually.
