Britain’s Unchanging Climate

By Paul Homewood

According to the CCC, the UK will be a climate disaster zone in 25 years time:

But have we seen any evidence of this looming disaster in the last 25 years?

Well, the country has not been getting any wetter at the top end of the scale. The fact that drought years are now less common has pushed the average up, but that does not mean that floods are getting worse.

Neither are summers getting hotter.

If our climate has not changed in the last 25 years, why should it suddenly do so now?

We have of course been in here before. In February 2012, the Environment Secretary, Caroline Spelman warned:

Two very dry winters – this may be the new norm. We asked the question at the drought summit – what if this is what climate change means and this is the new normal”

Four months later, “scientists” said that the dull, damp weather that summer was, you guessed it, all the result of climate change!

Apparently the “scientists” who predicted Mediterranean summers in 2005 had got their arithmetic wrong!

Huge swathes of England could take on a Mediterranean look within 50 years as native woodlands are threatened by warmer, drier summers, say scientists.

Olive groves, vines and sunflower fields could become hallmarks of the landscape in South-East England as global warming changes conditions.

Experts also say the English country garden is unlikely to survive in the South East in its present form.

Rolling lawns and herbaceous borders may be ousted by palms and eucalyptus

.

No doubt in another twenty years time, the Met Office will still be blaming both hot sunny summers and cold damp ones on global warming. And the CCC will still be warning we are just a couple of decades away from climatic apocalypse, if we do not do what they say.

via NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT
