May Madness Part 2 – a trip down memory lane.

A very short post about how the Met Office “reports” about our weather. Remember just over a year ago now in May 2024? It was dull and damp and generally miserable weather not at all like May 2025 which was sunny, dry and warm. Anyone disagree with me on that?

Whether you agree with me or not is irrelevant because the Met Office has all the “data” to prove its point. Here is the Met Office Time Series graph for the UK May highest daily mean temperature.

Yes, as you can see the “hottest evah” May was ……you guessed it ……May 2024! That dotted red line indicates May 2024 with it being significantly cooler in May 2025…yes the May just gone. I simply left out the date of the headline image. Forget your own memory, forget using your own ears, eyes and reasoning – dismal damp May 2024 was much “better” and “warmer” than bright sunny May 2025. Why? Because the UK Met Office is telling us all what to believe by using a ridiculous averaging system and equally dodgy data sources. If you want a scary graph, hey presto, they’ve got one.

As I suggested in one of my earlier posts on Wiggonholt, the “gaslighting” from the Met Office is likely the biggest cause of CO2 concerns rather than any reality.
