A coalition of UN agencies and foreign NGOs has been enticing officials of the US municipalities and even states to collaborate with them directly, bypassing the federal government and breaking the laws. The best known among such attempts is ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives). Contrary to its name, it is a centrally controlled foreign political entity. It is connected to the Climate Action Network (another foreign NGO), and the notorious Agenda 21. Jerry Brown answered their siren song and went completely mad. Yes, even madder than he had been. From Politico:
Crusading across Europe in his Fitbit and his dark, boxy suit, Brown advances California and its policies almost as an alternative to the United States—and his waning governorship, after a lifetime in politics, as a quixotic rejection of the provincial limits of the American governor. In the growing chasm between Trump’s Washington and California—principally on climate change, but also taxes, health care, gun control and immigration—Brown is functioning as the head of something closer to a country than a state.
Then his progressive madness bursts out:
“It’s not just a light rinse,” Brown said. “We need a total, I might say, brainwashing. We need to wash our brains out and see a very different kind of world.”
In a rush of climate diplomacy this year, Brown traveled to China to meet with President Xi Jinping, then to Russia to participate in an international economic forum.
His own brains have been washed out long ago. On the other hand, he might be just pretending being crazy to go to a mental asylum instead of prison.
BTW, I have forgotten to congratulate Jerry Brown and Al Gore with their professional day. October 24 was Quisling Execution Day, the 72th anniversary. I hope they celebrated it in a meaningful way.
