Series of winter storms will bring periods of heavy snow and strong wind to the mountains of Western Plumas county and the Sierra Nevada today, and again Thursday afternoon into Saturday.
1 to 3 feet of snow is possible above 3000 feet with 3 to 5 feet (90 to 150 cm) at pass levels through late Friday. Snow levels will remain around 3000 to 4500 feet today through the remainder of the week.
