Record snowfall in Alberta

3 Dec 2018 – Edmonton looked like a winter wonderland on Monday morning — even though the start of winter is still a few weeks off.

Chalking up 14 cm of fresh snowfall through the day, Alberta’s capital city set a new daily snowfall record on Sunday, smashing the previous record set in 1975.

The snow kept falling Sunday night into Monday. adding to the already record snowfall. As the city awoke on Monday, upwards of 20 cm had been reported across the city, with yet more to come.
