Winter has made a comeback in the Belgian Ardennes.
4 May 2019 – Snow fell this morning in the Alps and accumulates even on the ground in places.
More snowfall is currently occurring on the Lorraine plateau above 400m, and will reach the plateau of Langres, Morvan and northern Franche-Comté this afternoon.
Some parts of Germany were also covered with snow today. The inhabitants of the Harz mountains in central Germany have discovered a snowpack that could reach 20 cm (8 inches) in the Alps, according to the German weather service DWD.
