Just a quick confirmation that Storm Barry officially made landfall as a tropical storm, and not a hurricane.
It briefly strengthened to a Cat 1, but weakened before landfall. In fact it barely reached Cat 1 status, with max winds of 65Kts – the Saffir Simpson Cat 1 band starts at 64KTs:

So far, rainfall totals on New Orleans are much less than originally predicted, as Barry veered to the west of the city.
