Saturday, August 10 – A daily record marked the extreme east of Russia in Sakhalin and the north of the Khabarovsk Territory. The average daily air temperature in these parts turned out to be 3-5 degrees lower than usual, and its minimum value in places (according to the Weather and Climate website ) was a record.
In Ayan, on the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk in the north of the Khabarovsk Territory, the temperature dropped to +6.4 degrees, leaving behind the previous record of +7.2 degrees held since 1984.
In the urban-type village of Nogliki, in northeast Sakhalin, it dropped to +6.2 degrees, a new daily record (the previous one of +8 degrees was set in 1987).
In the coming week, cold weather on the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk and on Sakhalin will continue.
