Actually, there’s a record amount of snow in the entire country!
After several days with huge amounts of snow, the meteorologist was excited to measure the snow depth in Tromsø, Norway on Wednesday. The bar showed something they have not seen since 1922.
Only once before since we began measuring in 1920 have we had as much this early, and that was in October 1922, says state meteorologist Geir Bøyum.
There was then 83 cm (32.7 inches) of snow outside Vervarslinga in Tromsø. Almost a hundred years later, it has accumulated 70 cm (27.6 inches). Never before has there been so much snow on this exact date.
Finally, after 8 paragraphs, the article mentions this almost as an after thought:
“State meteorologist Geir Bøyum says that there is a record amount of snow currently in the entire county.”
