By mid-day Thursday, 3.9 inches of snow had fallen at the Albuquerque International Sunport, the city’s official climate site, said Alyssa Clements, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Albuquerque.

That far surpassed the previous snowiest Thanksgiving record set back in 1934 when the city had 1.5 inches of snow, she said.

The entire city was blanketed with 4 to 8 inches of snow.

Other areas in the state also saw lots of snow: 10 to 12 inches in Sandia Park, more than 9 inches in Glorieta and 6 to 8 inches in Santa Fe.
