* WHERE…The Eastern Lake Ontario Region, including the cities of Oswego, Watertown, Lowville, Big Moose, Eagle Bay, McKeever, Old Forge, Atwell, Nobleboro, Northwood, Long Lake, Sabattis, Hoffmeister, Wells, Ilion, Herkimer, Little Falls, Mohawk, Frankfort, and Dolgeville
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes on Thursday.
Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches possible in the following areas:
Western Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley, Western Clinton, Southeastern St. Lawrence, Southern Franklin, Northern Oneida, Yates, Seneca, Southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben, Schuyler, Tompkins, Madison, Southern Oneida and Cortland counties, including the cities of Boonville, Penn Yan, Seneca Falls, Auburn, Syracuse, Corning, Hornell, Watkins Glen, Ithaca, Hamilton, Oneida, Rome, Utica, Cortland Star Lake, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, and Dannemora.

Rain is likely to change over to snow across interior portions of the Northeast and lower Great Lakes as temperatures quickly drop to near and below freezing Wednesday night.
6 to locally 12 inches of wet snow could accumulate over the higher elevations of Upstate New York such as the Adirondacks by Thursday evening, while a swath of mixed precipitation spreads across interior New England along with strong gusty winds from the north and rapidly falling temperatures.
